| One week to go, and no costume still. The usual situation I find myself in. I opted to attempt a lesser-cosplayed PW character for once. Still, for the rushed effort it didn't come out too bad. The hair and nose are one latex cap -- I intended to make them separate but figured this was easier than messing with spirit gum and hey, I look stupid anyway :P The majority is a plain suit jacket, with gold buttons sewn down the arms. The tassle-y bits are acrylic-painted styrofoam balls and curtain edging/cording. Much hotglue was involved there. The bowtie is a cheat, it's just loose fabric sewn and pinned into shape with wire running inside the top bow to keep it upright.. It still didn't stay very upright sadly. The ring was a lucky find at the local costume shop, looks close enough to work. The monocle was a pair of broken costume coke-bottle-lens geek glasses, ripped apart and with the end of a black rubber ballpoint pen casing glued on with epoxy resin. Quite a few people recognised it which is a novel experience XD even had one or two group photos taken, now that's not normal ;P I didn't get any good photos of myself but eh, what else is new. | |

It's all one huge custom cap of latex, just the back is all painted black, spikes yellow and the nose flesh-ish.. I did it the same way I've done all my masks, just this time cut out the entire face part, leaving just a thin strip to connect the nose to the hair. I suck at matching my fleshtone ;) I was also wearing a proper latex wig/bald cap underneath which really helps hold the top one in place by just pure friction.
