| Cosplay of Jasmine You, one of the bassist's for HIZAKI -grace project-. This is probably the first really detailed cosplay I made, since it had so much going on! I decided to make it after finding a toy Elmo in the charity shop where I volunteer; Jasmine You had previously posted lots of pictures of Elmo on his blog...*shrugs* So I decided to attempt an awesome costume. The major problem I had with this was fabric. I couldn't find the right black-and-gold for the skirt/top, nor could I find black and gold lace for edges and hems, so I had to go for gold spiderweb on black tulle instead (typically, my favourite fabric shop had the perfect fabric at christmas x.x ) Another issue was the colour of the wig--and matching it to extension hair. I originally ordered a wig and a set of falls in the same colour from a certain online supplier...then they sent me the wrong falls, and never replied to my emails! So I had to buy extension hair and curl it myself (skills gained!) It was rather windy when I wore this so in a lot of my pictures my costume is all over the place ^^; | |
