| For the Wild Arms group @ Minami 14, 2008. She's dead, she has a demon dog, blue anime hair ZOMG and a GIANT SWORD! This costume was picked for me at Minamicon 13 on the Sunday in the bar where our cosplay group Bar One Cosplay (ah ha, see the punnage... XD yeah thank Princess Mark for that one!) was officially formed. One year later, we debuted these costumes in the masquerade and had great fun doing so! ---------------------- Anastasia's design looks very simple colour scheme wise. She doesn't have fiddly detail work all over her costume unlike a lot of the other Wild Arms guys (just like almost everyone from Wild Arms 2 - very simple designs), so instead I decided I would have to work to make her armour and wig stand out. I used a lilac suedette for all of the purple segments of the costume as it has a cowboy look and a nice weight. The skirt was a huge circle skirt with a seperate yoke band. All of the armour was made from funky foam strengthened with electrical tape, then covered with the suedette. I'm very proud of the gloves, which I hand sewed from scratch. They needed to be oversized like the rest of her armour. The sword was quickly made from foam board with two wooden handles, smoothed and filled with milliput then sanded, primed and painted. The wig was made from two very long blue wigs from Cosplay Wig on eBay. It weighed a lot and was pulling on my head all night. Next time I will have to secure it with even more bobby pins. Im glad you have your photos on here now, the whole outfit is spot on i just had to comment again after seeing it in person XD
My fave bits are the Gloves (OMG THEY ARE HAND SEWN), the Giant Sword (HOW LIGHT WAS THAT SWORD) the wig and accessories are true to the refrence as well...
Hopefully you will get a chance to wear this out again :)
