For a long time I had been falling out of the manga scene and one of the series to keep me interested was d.gray-man. I liked it so much I even read scanlations (something I hate) My favourite character in the series is Rabi (or Lavi...whatever you want to call him) so I decided to cosplay him (at the same time wishing I was tall and gangly!) Nobody knew who the hell I was as the d.gray-man boom had yet to hit the West :( and my depth perception was completely screwed. It was good sewing experience. I lined the jacket so it was incredibly toasty (I was BOILING) and unfortunately my leg strap broke before Minami, so the costume was slightly incomplete. I wasn't very comfortable in this and the fit wasn't quite right, but it helped me learn a few things.
